Norway | Summer Island | Håja

I recently returned from a great trip to Norway in search of the Northern Lights organised by Antony Spencer other people on the trip included Pete Spencer Chee Seong & Graham Wiffen

Sadly we didn't get to see the lights in a good enough form to photograph them because of all the bastard cloud but I think I will have to return sometime in the near future (if I can afford it)

Norway is a stunning landscape and the main problem that we all had is we felt we could not do it justice with our SLR's as there is so much detail and colour everywhere you look!

The D700 did ok but you really need more of them mega pixels for this environment if you are bothered about printing detailed shots.

this is my first upload from the trip it was taken looking out at sea near Sammaroy the low cloud was hitting this mountain. I took many exposures including long and short but this is probably my favourite. it was a very low contrast as the light had faded so this one is on the to do again list.
