Experimental back lighting with a bare strobe (580EX) 1/16 power directly behind Kara slightly to the right. Played with different camera positioning to get the lens flare. To balance the light on her face, I placed a 430EX directly in front of her about 2 ft away & diffused the light through an umbrella.

Then I processed it very late last night. I'm not sure what I did because I have the messiest PS workflow ever. tsk tsk. I know :P

I love this shot. It makes me realise that it's sometimes the imperfections in photographs that make them interesting. You have inspired me to 'free up' my photography a little and 'hang loose', lol, so to speak.

I also love the post production. You have some kind of gaussian blur thingy going on there which just works.

p.s. I love listening to you on TWIP (fantastic show).

Love your portrait work Lisa. I really enjoy it myself having the opportunity so shoot some beautiful women. I realize your probably quite a busy bee but I would love if you would check out my portraits and give me an honest opinion. Thank you.
p.s your portraits have inspired me.

Love the lens flare in this. I have the same camera and have found that it *loves* to get flared like this and always responds with magic. Excellent image.
