Kind of a cool pic-within-a-pic on the LCD screen...

I'm planning to get PWs for my 580ex and 430ex, and I was wondering how it would look like on the XTi (that needs a hotshoe > pc adapter). Oh boy! It looks... ugly :)

Anyway, thank you for posting this pic!

    PS: your pictures... are amazing!

What is the PW attached to, that is between it and the camera hotshoe ?

    DustinFinn,

I wanna say that it is a PC-sync/Hotshoe adapter, as the XTi does not have a PC-sync port built-in. It's the only way to trigger the PW.

@Chris - Thats a good call, but why use it ? I normally have my PW in the hotshoe of the camera, that certainly would fire the PW.

Whats the reason to use the extra adapter is what I don't see.

LOL, DustinFinn, I'm sorry - I must've been retarded when I left that comment. Yes, Pocket Wizards are fired via the hotshoe, you are right.

The PC-sync/Hotshoe adapter is for FLASHES that don't have PC-sync ports (i.e. all of the Canon flashes except for the 580EX II (maybe I, but I know the II does have it for sure).

But ultimately, I have no idea. Lisa, would you mind filling us in on that little thing? :-)
