Mendocino Complex Fire - July 2018
The Mendocino Complex fire, consisting of the River and Ranch fires, is 68% contained with record setting 344,890 acres burned and 1,025 structures still threatened. The Ranch Fire alone has become the largest fire in the State of California history. There have been at least 147 residences destroyed and 13 residences damaged.

Alongside many community members and partners, 378 Red Cross disaster workers, most of whom are volunteers, continue to support to people whose lives have been turned upside-down by these wildfires. To date, Red Cross has:
•provided 5,418 overnight shelter stays
•served with generous feeding partners almost 23,000 meals and 36,000 snacks.
•distributed 6,330 clean-up kits, comfort kits, and other disaster emergency supply items.
•opened 38 cases to help people with destroyed or damaged homes.
•provided 4,600 Health Services contacts and 2,621 Mental Health Services contacts.
