A plum present

    Newer Older

Plum sorbet, poached plums and chocolate cigars. More poached plums in red wine, this time with some aromatics - star anise and cloves, two of my favourite spices. The chocolate cigars were made with walnuts, hazelnuts, filo pastry and dark chocolate. Recipe here.

liyen: The cigars worked a treat and were quite easy to make. I'll be using more of these again.

      akoo_tr: Thank you!

Dancing star: Plums are fantastic but seem to play second fiddle to peaches and nectarines. Glad you liked this shot. The light was just fantastic.

Sal: Have just posted the recipe to this on my blog. The cigars were new to me too!

Nice Shot! Normally the bright spot would be something that I wouldn't like, but here it works really well.

You'll notice that a bit in my shots because I use backlight a lot. Call it my style! :)
