Golden Searchlight at Second Beach
Just returned from an epic/mindblowing 2 days camping on Second Beach on the Washington coast. 1st time I brought my 11 year old daughter and one of her best friends (and b.f.'s dad). We saw so many different sides to this beach over 2 days - I have a number of beautiful moments to share - so we'll start with this one...
This is from day 2 - we left the beach to visit Forks to have lunch and get supplies (more water and Jet Boil fuel). When we arrived back at the beach at around 5pm, the beautiful sunny day we left was replaced by total fog, gusty winds and COLD! When it gets warm inland, the fog bank comes ashore and it was so cold the girls hopped into their sleeping bags for an hour once we got back to our campsite.... as the sun went down, the fog bank became warmer, winds all of a sudden stopped blowing and the fog bank slowly danced around the sea stacks.... then sunset color hit and we all ran out to enjoy the moments.... that is when I captured this shot.
Hope you like ;D
