WIth the positioning, this is more a photo about a tilted lamp. I am a writer. I have had many bouts of WB. None of them even remotely look like this. Who the hell writes with a fountain pen anymore? Is this Laura Engles Wilder on writer's block?

p.s. I love the level of lighting, though. =)

Oh holy shit yes! I curse because I care. This one is a score. If this does not get saved, then god is napping and has officially wet the bed.

Too much darkness. the lamp is more prominent. too little light on the face.

      And I hate that lamp

There are a couple very minor quibbles I have here.

That the pen/notepad are the center of attention is good, and obvious, and fits the theme of the photo well. However, the lamp is too prominent, and the glasses also pull my eyes away from the person's face.

Had the glasses been in the face/lamp/pad triangle, the photo could be improved, or, again, if the lamp didn't create such a large distraction; it should definitely be a significant factor in the image. Just not the main one.

This was *so* close to a save for me, that I can't delete it.

issues with sharpness, colouration and glare off the lamp haven't been signalled enough. Is it Sunday or something?

The atmosphere is nice but I think the writers face needs more light.

We're pleased to inform you that this has received 10 deleteme comments and tags from qualified sane members of the DeleteMe group so I'm removing it from the pool.

You didn't make it into The Safe but don't miss your chance to remind the rest of the group of their injustice by posting it to the U Got Me thread.

Hi there. Thank you very much for sharing this photo with Creative Commons.

I have used it to ilustrate an article about writer's block in my blog. It's in portuguese, but I thought you would like to know. ;)
