jrt with lump on eye
It was an absolute miracle to get this hyperactive adorable pooch to stand still for one minute for the photo shoot. Thankgod for liiver treats.
This pink lump near the medial canthus of his right eye grew up suddenly. The ophthalmologist recommended we proceed with a biopsy to determine the next step. It could have been a mast cell which is a very bad type of tumour and this dog would have required radical surgery at the eye specialist. Thankfully it was a histiocytoma, a benign lump that will go away on its own with or without antihiistamines.
The flourescin green discolouration of his eye and nostril is normal. We strained his eye to make sure he has no corneal ulcer. The fact that some stain reached his nostril shows his nasolacrimal duct is patent (open) which is great!
