Immature Bald Eagle (2nd Year)
Hermitage Park, Edmonton, AB, Canada
June 25, 2011
Manual exposure, 1/1000 sec., f/5.6, ISO 1250 @ 400mm
I think that evening, I finished bowling games and dinner with friends early, so I decided to check out the park before going home.
It was quite a show to watch this immature Bald Eagle unwelcomed by various birds. Even the fishing hobbyists were taking pictures instead of fishing. First, the eagle was hovering above the water, and the geese and the ducks were screaming at it. Then a pair of Swainson's Hawks were chasing and dive-bombing this eagle. Then, finally, the RWBB (I think?) was also harassing it as the Eagle was flying above that marshy area of the park.
