A panorama of the river Adyar and its mouth, shot from the Broken Bridge. Composed of about 20 photos and stitched with Autostitch.
The river Adyar flows west to east, across the southern half of Chennai, to meet the Bay of Bengal just south of the Marina beach.
To connect the city's two beaches (Marina and the Elliots (also called Besant Nagar) beach), the government began building a small foot bridge over the adyar's mouth.
During a severe thunderstorm and resultant flooding of the river, the bridge's supports gave way and thus we now have the Broken Bridge.
PS. A small break from Chennai Photowalk 5. I have loads of photos to process.
And, oh, view the large size please.
