the bread aisle

Newer Older

our local grocery store was rushed as people prepared for hurricane katrina. i thought it would be interesting to see what items disappeared the fastest. the isles that were empty were the bottled water aisle, meat aisle, potato chip isle, and beer aisle were the ones that were basically empty by 4 p.m. sunday, august 28, 2005.

it looks like somebody forgot some bread or just needed 5 buns instead of 8.

the left over buns remind of 'father of the bride'.

Was this in Baton Rouge or New Orleans? The photo taken?

this was in baton rouge. many of the grocery stores have actually gotten worse sense katrina has past. yesterday my wife came back from one of the local grocery stores saying that it was a waste of time to even go because there was nothing there.

Would you please do me a favor?
Even though the purpose of this picture is to tell about a sad episod, I'd like to know what name do you usually give to that pice of the aisle which is used to hang another product to sell.
That's why I work with merchandising stuff and I need to know.
I added a note to indicate.
