Southern Oregon Coast
So this is really weird... I posted the B&W shot of this last night, then today I was going through my junkmail folder which I rarely ever do, and I noticed an e-mail from Outdoor Photographer. It turns out that this photo is a finalist in the Outdoor Photographers "Mystical Adventures" photo contest.
I just got back from a 3 day trip to the Central/Southern Oregon Coast. It was my first trip to the area, and it really is much nicer than the Northern coastline in my opinion. Didn't get any clouds or really dramatic skies this trip, bu I will be heading back in the future for sure...
This particular spot was a bit gnarly; I was sitting on the edge of a cliff lodged in between some tree roots with 15-20 foot waves crashing directly below... Not to mention that it was a pretty steep boot path to get there in the first place. There was a family of goats grazing on the cliffs behind me for the 2 hours I was in this area, but I didn't have a long enough lens to capture them properly...
My website is still under development, but my most recent work is now available at www.jesse-estes.com/
