Wave Jumping

The hundreds of dunlins (Calidris alpina), in addition to several other bird species, repeatedly had to jump over the waves while searching for food on the piles of kelp earlier this autumn.


I had some unforgettable hours, sitting there watching them up close, and photographing several birds that I hadn't photographed before.
