My son Michael has started a book collection. With his meager sum that he makes at Starbucks, he is amassing an Ebay purchased set of the classics.

Moby Dick, Sherlock Holmes, The Canterbury Tales, Treasure Island, Grimm's Fairy Tales, The Lord of the Rings

Love the spine on Moby Dick! Nice light in this shot, and a very nice collection he's got going there. :))

I love the way old books look. I wish I could afford a whole book case of them.

You can't go wrong with a single one of his choices. This much is true. If I may, please recommend your son read Life of Pi. He will not find it bound in leather, but it is just as good as some of the ones above. :)

I too recommend Life of Pi. It's fantastic.
Your son has good taste in books.
