This is my first long exposure upload where I used a B+W ND110 10-stop filter. I really want to get into this style of photography but unfortunately it hasn't gone as well as I hoped it would. I have done a fair amount of practicing and I am getting better at determining the exposure times in bulb mode. I have found a few charts online but they are basically starting points and not to be followed without adjusting.
Currently, the major issue I am having is that I can't get close enough to my subject. The lens I am using with this filter is the Tokina 11-16 UWA and most of the subjects I have been inspired by are out of the range of this lens since the subjects are surround by bodies of water and I can't foot zoom, so I need a longer lens that will fit the filter. I have my eye on the Canon 24-105 but I can't afford it until I find a job. I need to force myself to make the focal length of the 11-16 work for me. Need to learn to think different.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I really appreciate it.
Take care.
