STS-135 Launch: Final Launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis
Final launch of Space Shuttle program: Atlantis spreads her wings, one final time. Pictures taken from the NASA Causeway, 6 miles from the launch pad.

I am only a few years older than NASA. As a kid, I followed Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo; in college, I saw the final Apollo launch, the US half of Apollo/Soyuz.

As an adult, I followed the Space Shuttle flights on TV, saying "One of these days, I'll see one in person!" I finally checked off that "bucket list" item on July 8, 2011.

Film Camera: Canon A-1; lenses: Canon 50mm f1.8, Promaster 80-205 f4.5, Spiratone 400mm f6.3; film: Kodak Ektar 100; Underexposed 2/3 stops. Finding 100 speed film in Columbia, South Carolina turned out to be a scavenger hunt!
