carnaby's black-cockatoo (female)

This photo was taken in the Wireless Hill Reserve in the suburb of Applecross in Perth. The birds scientific name is Calyptorhynchus latirostris. Common names are White-Tailed Black-Cockatoo or short-billed Black Cockatoo. They are only found in the south west corner of WA and are considered to be endangered.
