    While talking about typeface classification, Keith and I also discussed the idea of the labels ‘dynamic’ and ‘static’ as alternative or additional labels to describe the typeface classification groups Garald / Old Style / broad nib and Didonic / Modern Face / pointed nib. He then pointed out that these terms were probably introduced in an article in Novum Gebrauchsgraphik for the introduction of Hans Eduard Meier’s Syntax, the typeface he designed for Stempel AG. I had reprostats from some of the images from that article since the mid 1980ties but never made photocopies of the text. Today I got hold of the Stempel publication showing the images Keith was talking about. Here they are. Thanks Keith!
