Woodland WA Cats II *TNR* continues....
This sweet tabby is very friendly-I gave her some tuna. I'm going to try to see if my no-kill cat shelter will take her.
1).Below is the momma cat I trapped yesterday. Sadly, we couldn't locate her kittens. Her milk has dried up considerably so hopefully the kittens are old enough to find food while she's gone....the farmer is suppose to put out food/ milk for them.
2). When I went to the owner's son home to leave a note on his door, I discovered that he has a very sick cat. S/he was so frail and sick--just skin & bones when I picked up. Looks like a disease such as feline FIV or leukemia. So, I'll need to take him/her in when I take the two females back to the farm if the owner will allow me to. I think s/he'll need to be euthanized.
3).The remaining tomcat that has eluded me needs to be caught....as I saw that he still has a lot of eye discharge as well as needing to be neutered.
So....I still have my work cut out for me there. Of course, with my own time and money.
Update: July 17, 2011
Her name is now "Lois" and I have removed her from the farm. After spending the night at my vet for intake treatment, she is now at a no-kill cat shelter and will hopefully be adopted by a cat loving family soon .
