This adult male orange tabby showed up in my neighborhood last week. I've gone door to door asking if he belongs to any one...but no -he appears to be a stray. I've been feeding him. He wasn't yawning in this shot...he was "talking" to me. Right after I took this, he allowed me to pick him up and place him in a carrier...off to the vet we went.
SO, he's at the vet getting neutered, vaccinated, etc today. Unfortunately, he tested positive for feline FIV. He is healthy and symptom free...but will be next to impossible to place him in foster or adopt.
I don't want to put my cats at risk....so are at a loss as to what to do. I will probably make him our "outside" kitty.....if he sticks around. He's very sweet.
We adopted him and two years later, he is a treasured member of our feline/ canine family.
