Jägala Joa - Jägala falls in Laheema National Park
Jägala Falls - Laheema National Park - Jägala Joa east of Tallinn, Estonia.
I got the chance to shoot another waterfalls, this time in a small village outside of Tallinn. Perhaps not the most majestic falls I've seen especially compared to the Niagara which I've seen a few years ago, but it was a lovely day with blue skies, and a rainbow appearing over the water made the extra trip worthwhile.
Jägala Falls are the largest waterfalls in Estonia, located approximately 30 km east of the capital city of Tallinn, in the village of Jägala Joa. It is also referred to as the Niagara Falls of the Baltic.
Jägala Falls measures about 8 meters high and 50 meters wide over a limestone edge. It flows into the nearby water reservoir Linnamäe Veehoidla and then to the Baltic Sea.
