London - Rainy Twilight at St. Paul's and the Millennium Bridge

St. Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge - London, UK

Gotta love rainy days in London. You get something else instead of blue hour.

A scene you've seen many times, and here's my contribution to the pile.

The London Millennium Footbridge and St. Paul's Cathedral are two other landmarks by the Thames. The steel suspension bridge for pedestrians links Bankside with the City.

Londoners nicknamed the bridge the Wobbly Bridge after participants in a charity walk felt an unexpected, and, for some, uncomfortable, swaying motion on the first two days after the bridge opened. The bridge was closed later that day, and after two days of limited access, the bridge was closed for almost two years while modifications were made to eliminate the wobble entirely. It was reopened in 2002.
