That's pretty awesome! I think you nailed every aspect of this - including the weird, asymmetrical just-woke-up-after-strange-aeons look of Cthulhu.

      How'd it taste?

I was told it tasted good :) I only had it pre-construction to check that the cake was the way I wanted it.

Although someone complained they took 1d6 sanity just by looking at it. He feared for the souls of those who ate it.

Outstanding job! I was a cake decorator for a few years - alas, since I worked for a grocery store, I was somewhat limited in what I was allowed to create. I'd have loved to do things like this. Hopefully this will not be your last fantabulous cake-y creation.

As an attendee of this party, I'm going on the record to say that this cake was wholly delicious and insanity wielding!

Excellent -- I read this recipe in Abdul Alhazrad's "Necronomicon Gastronomique" but never tried it because of availability of the ingredients-which-must-not-be-named. I guess I could have substituted chocolate sprinkles.
