Palm Oil Week of Action
Almost 700 concerned groups across the country participated in demonstrations at grocery stores educating the public about General Mills' connection to rainforest destruction through their use of plantation palm oil. Palm oil sourced from rainforest-destroyer Sinar Mas Group and sold by Cargill is used by General Mills in many of their popular brands and products, including Cheerios and Lucky Charms. The Palm Oil Week of Action was organized by Rainforest Action Network and made possible by creative and dedicated citizens all over the U.S.
