Factory Worship

The Drew University chapter of RAN, in partnership with Drew SDS, carried out guerrilla theater street actions in front of two local Chase banks in Madison, NJ.

The cast included coal miners, their radical leftist allies, and 'Madison Millionaires' who wanted to keep profiting off of coal energy.

After coal miners dumped some coal on the bank steps and used it to write an informative message about Chase' involvement in the TXU deal, local police demanded that the coal and message be removed, and, with the help of the eager Millionaires, supervised the clean-up.

Later, when students from all three character groups entered the bank to close their accounts, they were treated with hostility and back-up police were called. After much stalling, the students were assisted in closing their accounts.
