BW Residence -- kitchen

    Newer Older

View into Kitchen following renovation work. The metal cabinets, manufactured by "St. Charles", have been repainted. The Owners painstakingly cleaned the interior brickwork to remove fifty years of accumulated grunge. Removing the overgrown evergreens on the exterior allows daylight to perforate the masonry wall.

You can find a slideshow of images of this house on my website.

For more about Harris Armstrong, the architect who originally designed this house in the 1950s, see my blog architectural ruminations.

Looks from these "renovated" shots as though your clients really are people of taste and discrimination, and their architect did them proud. THis is a magnificent project. Thanks for showing us.

Clever hiding of the square exhaust fan in the top row of windows is similar to the hidden return air vent in the shape of a violin on the wall where my father-in-law's violin collection hangs at the Kirkpatrick residence.. Also, designed by H. Armstrong. Similarity of shape causes the brain to ignore what wouid otherwise be a glaring distraction.
