4904 at Scarborough

    Newer Older

4904 and KL81 (4910) power through Scarborough with M622 ballast cleaning wagons from Albion Park to Chullora.

The three CFCL Australia 49 Class units have recently been purchased by SSR for use on infrastructure work trains, with all three units to recieve a complete overhaul (including new paint and renumbering to their original NSWGR numbering scheme).

This is a very nice shot... This locomotive brightens up a rather dull day... Great work...

Thomas, we shot him at Unanderra (1021, following CG14), Scarborough (1114) and Bald Hill Tunnel (1121). They made quite a racket coming up to Scarborough at Bald Hill! It was only a short train too, but sounded the business! We were lucky he was put away at Wollongong to allow an OSCar to run through him, as we only just beat the OSCar to Scarborough.

Shawn, thanks for the comments mate. The sun was certainly hit and miss! It was nice to have 4904 leading!
