tears in heaven 12/52 "paparazzi"
Friday 23rd of March, I took my camera & visited the
St Lambertus primary school,
where the main gate had been transformed in a huge shrine,
lots of flowers, drawings & candles
covered the the streetside wall,
a very impressive sight..
took me a while before I finally had the courage
to actually take some pictures..
Felt like a paparazzi..
I think I would never have thought of taking these pictures,
out of respect for the 22 dead schoolkids & 6 dead adults who died in a tragic bus crash in a Swiss tunnel,
coming home from a winter vacation on Tuesday 13 March..
This one's for the 2012 : 52 weeks group week 12 theme being "paparazzi"..
This is my anti - paparazzi picture..
Paparazzi are fake, so are celebrities being photographed..
They are like vultures in a society that has lost
its priorities in life..
Quite a statement, I know..
It's heartbleeding how very expensive camera equipment
is used to keep alive a world that has nothing to do
with real life..a world of glitter & glamour..
Which tells us nothing about the real persons
of flesh & bones..
These pictures tell a sad story, of grief,
of young lives lost, they lived real lives..
Remember the car crash of Lady Diana in a Paris tunnel ?
She was chased by paparazzi on motorbikes..
The chauffeur speeded into that tunnel
to shake off those vultures..
3 of the 4 people in the car died..
makes you think..
It's us that create the celebrity world..
It's us that want to see those pictures,
that read those pulp magazines,
it's us that keep that world alive..
Have some respect, please..
