Contrasting scene to the people in the photos! The joy of work!

Yup, you can tell by her expression how much that waitress loves her job! :) I like the mood of this shot, and the expressions of each individual.

I don't blame them, they're probably underpaid, or she just had a bad day. Stephan, you amaze me with your shots, how do you catch all those moments. It's amazing.

This is so excellent! I wonder how you sneak up on people.. Your "victims" often look so unaware of the camera which is part of what makes them so brilliant.

"i love my job, part ii"!!!!
    classic
the depth of unhappiness and routine is striking in this glib little series
i would HATE to have a job like this and i think she's holding up much better than i would

I went to Chicago in 1999 -- and we went here -- what a trippy place -- I hope I'll find more of Ed's here in your stream ;). I wish I'd been shooting then -- I loved it when they got up on the counter and danced -- absolutely classic.

You're making me long for Chicago now -- I'm going to have to get back there one of these days!

theres so much to see in this scene, ofcourse all the different
face expressions. its like we are able to read in all the girls mind.
The waitress reminds me of jennifer Aniston's character in the film 'office space' ... she has to wear 37 flairs to express herself at work... and shes not really happy about it :)

Don't you all recognize her?! I do. She totally lives on my left shoulder, kicks her legs around and chews gum and whispers the nasty witty things to retort to everyone I encounter at work.
    I hate her.
    But I love her....
    mwahahahaha!

I wanted to find a pic of yours that wasnt too heavily commented on or faved.........but then I came across this, and it didnt really matter, I love the brief hidden (usually) moment that youve found in this waitresses job..love all the chaos around her, but really she makes the image, and speaks to me for the all the hours I used to spend serving people ice cream in the Haagan Dazs cafe in Dublin as a student ;-)
