This is a photo of me "working" well sort of... I spend my days in the library reading; currently about monarchy and tyranny in 16th century england. I assure you, it's fascinating! (No really... it is!)

Re: David Starky -- my wife tells me he's a fantastic historian, but I can't stand the man on The Moral Maze [BBC Radio 4], he just gets my back up.

He's not bad, bit 'popular' but damn is he conceited. And I'm pretty sure he's in love with a number of dead Queens.... !

Fellow English History buff salutes you on great books and a great pic! It's like my life, only yours! And I agree with you on David Starkey - great documentaries but more than a bit of an ass.

Hi, I really like your image!
I’m an administrator for a new short story website called Thresholds, blogs.chi.ac.uk/shortstoryforum/ and I'd love to be able to include this shot in our reserve of images for possible use at some point in the changing banner of the site.
The JPG image size we need for the banners is 600 x 240 pixels, which usually means that photos will need to be cropped and resized. If the right size isn't available, our design team requests that larger sized photos are provided by the photographer so that they can then be (sensitively!) cropped. We're an academic site so cannot offer a fee, but our membership spans 5 continents - so there's the exposure potential and the photo credit of course.
If you supply us with your name as you would like to see it appear in the photo credit, and details of any website which you would like linked to it, we will ensure that this is given prominent place at the top of the article.
If you're interested, please email me at Thresholdsphotos@chi.ac.uk with the subject of MY FLICKR PHOTO.
    Hope to hear from you!
