KLM's headquarters is in Amstelveen near its hub at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. KLM operates worldwide scheduled passenger and cargo services to more than 90 destinations. It is the oldest airline in the world still operating under its original name.

KLM Cityhopper is the regional subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (part of the Air France-KLM Group). The airline, with its head office, the Convair Building, on the grounds of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in Schiphol-Oost, Haarlemmermeer, operates short haul services in Europe on behalf of the mother company, KLM.

KLM and its regional wholly-owned subsidiary KLM Cityhopper operates a fleet of Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Fokker and Mcdonnell-Douglas jets, inlcuding the Airbus A330, Boeing 737, 747, 777, Embraer E-190, Fokker 70, Fokker 100, and Mcdonnell-Douglas MD-11. Cityhopper services are operated exclusively with the Embraer and Fokker jets.
