SUTK swap table runner - finished!

    Newer Older

It is quilted in monofilament thread and bound in a dark brown/black shot cotton. I also added some hand-stitching around the large squares. Hope you like it, partner!

Oh! My! Gosh! I DO I DO I DO!!! It's awesome!!! Thank you! It just arrived this afternoon, and my table is all covered with sewing junk! So I'll clear it off here in a couple of hours for dinner and will take pictures then. Thank you! And the butter dish is perfect, too!

I just LOVE the solids you used. Are they actually linen? What brand are they and where do I get some?? :-)

And what do you use between your fabrics for batting? I love the thinness of it; I think it would be really great for a baby blanket!

THANKS again! I'll post proper pictures soon!

yay!!! i'm so glad it arrived and you like it! most of the solids are shot cottons. on the square blocks, there is Kaffe Fassett shot cotton in "smoky" (grayish blue), Moda Net of Jewels in aqua blue, Moda Net of Jewels in yellow-gold, Kaufman Carolina Chambray in golden brown, and an older shot cotton in reddish-orange by Textile Creations. Plus a few other colors on the back and binding. If you want to know any specific color names, let me know. I got the cotton batting here in Canada at the local Fabricland store and am pretty sure it's called "Warm and Natural"... it's available on lots of US websites too. :)
