I love seeing handwritten scribbles like this, they're so random.... I tend to wonder who wrote them and who's seen them since.

There's a few people whose work you see around again and again. Some people leave their first name, and with a little Facebook work you can make a decent stab at who they probably are. This one is one of my favorites. Its author also left this advice.

Hi Quinn, this is sage advice. Maybe the author is a career coach?

I used the photo in a blog post: (www.freepursuits.com/2009/03/12/6-proven-ways-to-make-a-l...) per your Creative Commons license. Thanks very much!

I'm glad you found a use for the photo! Self-employment is near and dear to my heart-- my father spent a lot of my adolescence as an e-entrepreneur.

      Hello, Quinn:

Thank you for the signed copy and congratulations. Steve and I wondered what a "ice cream maker or vendor" would be called in Italian. Or we might say "Go to Italy, make gelato."

I also blogged about your book:

      Thank you again!

Thanks so much, Matthew! I'll have to look into "ice cream maker/vendor". (And thanks again for the translation help!)

Hi, I hope it's ok, but I have used this picture in my blog (I have credited you and linked to your Flickr). Here is the link:

Please let me know if it's not ok and I'll take it down right away :)

It's absolutely okay! Almost everything I post is licensed using Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike, so as long as there's a credit line and any derivative works (mashups, photo edits, etc.) have the same license, you don't even have to ask! I always love hearing from people, though.
