1947 Nuffield Gutty

The Nuffield Gutty was developed to meet a military specification for a light field car to replace the Jeep, but was not successful and only three prototypes were built, featuring a flat-four engine that was intended to be used in the Morris Mosquito, the car that evolved into the Minor. This one is a fairly recent arrival at Gaydon, having previously been displayed at the now-closed Museum of Army Transport in Beverley.
