"Great Lakes Freighter Engine Room"
On September 10, 2016 I went below decks into the engine room of the "S.S. James C. Schoonmaker in Toledo, Ohio. It's permanently tied up at the National Museum of the Great Lakes on Front Street. I took a couple standard panoramas and then thought, "Why not wave the camera around a bit." I pointed the camera down into the bowels of the ship and went through the motions (heh heh) and this was the result. Note that the left side of the engine room is laying on its side. I especially like the "U" shaped curve of the golden pipe on the right. I worked in the engine room of the "S.S. Crispin Oglebay" in the summer of 1969 and engine pipes don't curve that way! I decided to load it into Photoshop and play with it, inspired by all the recent efforts in the PANO-Vision group in that regard--Paul
