GIMP running on N800
This is a screenshot of the GIMP running on an N800 tablet. The picture was taken with the N800's camera, and auto-white-balanced by the Gimp.
I'm using the Debian "lenny" distribution, XFCE4, and a VNC server with a geometry of 770x600 (that way, I only get one scroll bar, the vertical one). The Gimp menus don't fit on the N800's screen (800x480) (the Layers one doesn't even fit on my virtual screen either), and it is dog-slow on the Tablet's ARM processor.
This is in response to this article on LinuxDevices.com that said:
"Speaking at the Embedded Linux Conference in Mountain View this week, Christian showed an N800 tablet running the GIMP, an open source image processing package that he said worked well on the device. "
Works well?! Bah. Your standards are too low, sir.
