Radiant Dawn - Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

    Newer Older

Every year hundreds of photographers head out here to Rowena Crest to shoot the flowers, which only last about 2 weeks. I decided to meet up with a few photographers from out of town, and our first stop was Rowena. I arrived way too early and the wind was howling, but the clouds above were working some serious magic - I knew that the sunrise would be amazing. It didn't disappoint!

An announcement: My kickstarter funding project for my 6 month set of journeys in E. Oregon is almost finished. I reached my base amount, meaning that the project is funded. I also have set an unofficial goal of $3500 and have another 3 days to get there. Check it out!

Nice work, Jamey. I like the moodiness you're creating with your recent batch of images; good mixture of softness and drama. Nice scouting in finding a healthy patch of lupine.

I was scurrying around like a squirrel to find the right spot. Just ask one of the 30 other photographers that was there! lol.

Hi, im the co-Art Director for `Howards and Caz`s Gallery` and would be very honoured if you would consider posting your stunning photo into the Gallery.
This Gallery is so different than anything flickr has done before, as it is a tough Gallery to belong to, and now the bar has raised to Platinum level, and only the best will be accepted, and it is my opinion that this wonderful piece here belongs with us ……. I hope you will consider posting your beautiful photo in, as i feel it has the standard required to be a part of this Gallery......Kind regards..Caz (AD)
