72/365 - Berkeley T-28 Balsa Wood Airplane Model
When my dad was in the air force, years before I was born, he bought this balsa wood airplane model kit. The T-28 was the plane my dad was learning to fly. He did not continue with pilot training, however, and instead became a radar operator and spent most of his air force enlistment stationed at a remote coastal outpost in northwestern Washington state.
When I was a kid my brother tried to assemble this kit. I don't know what happened to the plane. Perhaps it's still in the crawl space over the garage.
I found a little bit of information about kits like this on line (of course; the internet is truly a marvelous work and a wonder): link
