Office with a view - Day 212 of Project 365

    Newer Older

Spent a relaxing day in the office, it’s true what they say, with modern technology you can work anywhere. My Wi-Fi stretches this far so why not work here on a nice day?

Taken for “The Rouge Players” task “Home Office

This shot isn’t exactly how I planned it. The first idea was to go to the top of a local hill, but then reality kicked in and so did the realisation of the logistics involved! So this shot involved slightly less work, I had also wanted to do more of a wide angle shot to emphasize the fact that I am sat in the middle of a field.... But time was against me, and so was the wind, umbrellas and gusting wind never work well together.... hence the big stone on the flash stand!

Lightroom: oh heck where do I start, auto levels then tweak back setting to suit, apply slight “s” to curves, grad filter with 50% saturation to the top of the photo, use the brush tool to darken the desk and printer a bit and lighten my face and leg, saturation +10, USM sharpen, post crop vignette, save to JPG

Strobist: 580exII at full power into reflective umbrella to camera left, nuclear fusion from the sun to camera right, setup shot is here. To get shutter speed down to a usable sync speed in broad daylight I used an ND 8 filter hence the vignette in the setup shot!

I refuse to comment on here because your garden appears to be bigger than the road I live on...

I would spend too much time taking pictures & putting them on flickr if this was my office... I already spend too much time on flickr while I'm at the office anyway.

But I LOVE the shot & the idea of it!

LOL, that’s 10% more than me... I tend to write a whole lot of drivel and it makes no sense when I read it back ; )
Fortunately it's just a load of grass so it just needs a good mow every once in a while
If we could build on here it would be great but its technically farmland :) It would probably be more use to rear sheep on ... but you would know more about that tan me ; P
Cheers it's great still it starts to rain....
I hardly get any work done anyway... at least the view's good :D
Cheers, dont talk about how much time we all spend on flickr, I get withgrawal symptoms it I dont check my contacts pics every few hours ;D

I thought you said you had no time for a shot today !!! Then I find you moving your office from the attic to the garden. Clearly far more time on your hands an is good for you :)

Nice work. Love the sky (Don't see many like that there huh)

I thought I was cool that I have a window in my home office, but you've got me beat. Thanks for playing.

I'd like to use this picture for a help guide on our Virtual Learning platform for our library.
Its the guide for for off-campus users.

Would you be OK for that? I will credit your name.
