Austin A35 Van - Day 136 of Project 365
I had been trying to not work in between Christmas and the new year, but as with all best laid plans..... Today I had a call out for a broken non booting server, and I had to pop into another client to have a look at a misbehaving Vista PC. For those of you interested the server needed a new set of RAID drivers, and the Vista machine was a case of the user knowing exactly what they wanted to do but Vista thinking it knew better.... naughty Vista ;)
On the way past I made a courtesy call to Autoworkshop in Denton, they are the garage who do most of the mechanical stuff that I can’t be bothered to do on my cars. Usually they have an assortment of unusual classic or sports vehicles in for a bit of TLC. Today’s recipient of TLC was an old Austin A35 van with a rather poorly engine. At the time of taking this photo the engine had been removed for a rebuild.
You're probably wondering why take a photo of this car? I just liked the look of it, it's someone’s pride and joy, and had been all over Europe to various car rallies. Plus it's probably 15 years older than I am and it’s still getting along. An engine rebuild in a car of this age is just part of the course, it will be good for another 25 years afterwards :)
Lightroom: crop, rotate slightly, fairly heavy use of brightness and contrast, slight vignette to add focus to the car, save to JPG
