View of Paris from the Eiffel Tower
Obviously, I have traveled far far away from my home country to a continent on the other side of the world, Europe. As part of my school's program, we stayed in France for a month to learn the language and experience the culture.
The reason why I posted here after a really long time of not doing so is because I learned something about photography from this experience. I did not bring my DSLR with me on the trip. Instead, I brought a GoPro and used a phone with a nice camera. Before leaving I thought I would regret that choice, but not once did I wish that I had the DSLR with me while I was there. Maybe it's personal preference but the convenience that a small camera offers is perfect for traveling. I learned that sometimes picture quality can be sacrificed (a bit) to save you from the hassle of fumbling with a bulky camera and not appreciating what's in front of you.
