Bookshelf of Colors

Okay, I know I used a filter for this, but I just couldn't get the effect I want in GIMP. This one suits the photo quite nicely. I used picmonkey because that's the only online photo editor I know of.

If you can read the titles, you can see that I have books from different genres. The thing about this arrangement is that they're all mixed together. Stephen King next to Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Jules Verne next to Suzanne Collins, Penguin Classics next to Agatha Christie. I don't confine myself to a particular category; I read all books that I find interesting. That's not all of my books though because I left out some whose colors don't fit anywhere, and I keep some books in another shelf such as my Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys collection.

Collecting these books is just as fun as reading them. While I enjoy buying the latest releases from the bookstore, nothing can replace the feeling of finding a gem in a second-hand bookshop. I discovered some of my favorite books by accidentally coming across them while rifling through the stack under the "sale" sign. I hope to have a room in the future where I can keep my books in one place.
