WFPG-TV

This is the first and last reference I've ever seen of this TV station. Wonder if channel 46 is still licenced to Atlantic City?

Scanned from TV Digest of February 21, 1953.

It's sad how these stations burn out and fade away. But it still may exist...in some incarnation or other...

There's nothing on channel 46 locally, but WFPG-FM is doing really good in the ratings...

Interesting that one station would feature four networks.
Here, 96.9 FM is the local classic rock station. They call it 97, but it's actually 96.9 on the dial.

An interesting bit about one of it's DJs, Kevin Mathews, who it is believed started the gag of yelling "Freebird" at concerts.

I'll be posting the listings for it shortly. It's a hodgepodge of all four networks.

I have an old ID I taped off the FM station in the 80's. It too, was FM 97 then.
