My oldest daughter, Kat (24 years old). She just got her hair done for the last time... well, for the last time with our friend, Misty. I met Misty almost ten years ago when I went into a salon that had a sign saying: "Walk-ins welcome".
Misty was the one who was available and when she touched my hair, she made other stylists come over and feel it because it was so thick and heavy. And since that day, I have entrusted her with my haircut needs. And of course, my daughters followed suit. I have an album of photos on Facebook called "The Misty Hairdo appreciation album". She's done my daughters' hair for normal things and special events. And, she kept my hair in perfect shape during an the growing out of a short cut to a long one. During my two week stay in the hospital with my knee replacement, all I did was comb my hair straight back while it was wet and it air-dried to perfection.
After she did Kat's cut and color, she gave me a little trim and thinned out my super-thick heavy hair. And we found out that today was her last day.
We will miss her, but she's moving on and up to better things. And even though she's leaving town, we'll still see her now and then... she goes to Bristol a few times a year.
