The Terrified Teddy
I wish for less terrified teddies (especially their respective terrified owners) in 2008. We all know that there are many bad things in this world (and at least as many good things) but if children are being victims (of wars, crimes, abuse etc.) this is certainly the worst I can imagine.
The picture came out pretty depressing although the original idea for it came from the rather funny expression of this teddy (my wife's "Orsi", 27 years old).
What it took
I took the restriction by heart and took this shot in jpeg mode (medium size) using the in-camera b/w program. I did not even load this picture up to my computer (in order to withstand the temptation of any post-processing), but loaded it up to Flickr directly from the card.
ISO 3200 was chosen to get a little grain as in newspaper reporter shots (did not work...). Coffee (was cold already and would have been discarded anyways) was spilled on the ground to make it look dirty or bloody or whatever.
