Great job, instantly recognizable. Reminds me of the one in Toy Story 3.

Great work, absolutely brillliant. Every feature of the orginal toy captured brilliantly, plus genious thinking 'outside the square' for the competition!

Cool. I don't remember whether I had one of these or one of my cousins, but I do remember playing with it.

to think that this toy doesn't even make sense to this generation, they don't even recognize what it's based on.

Fisher-Price actually tried to change it to a push-button type phone a few years back but so many people complained, they had to change it back. The shape is so iconic that it seems to transcend generations. I bet most kids could still tell you that it's supposed to be a telephone, even if they were clueless as to how to use a real rotary phone.

heck, outside of a friend of mine's house who likes antiques, i dunno the last time i even saw a real, plugged into the wall, house phone?

Nathan Proudlove I think you're right. I mean we don't even have a land line, much less any kind of corded phone, yet when I picked up a chatter phone, Zoe would hold it to her ear if I held my cell phone to my ear. They pick this stuff up so quick, it doesn't matter if they understand what it's from.
