Bowling Sign

A slice of Americana found in the village of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Known pretty much only to New Englanders and those in the Canadian Maritimes, candlepin bowling uses balls more similar to duckpin but with the pins narrow and streamlined like candles. The Shelburne Falls Bowling Alley is one of the very few places I know of that still offer candlepin bowling today and claims to be the second oldest bowling alley in America.
