Digging through my archives to discover a prelude primer for summer, while enjoying Spring now all the rage in Southern Alberta. Mind you flowers are blooming, the pesky yellow dandelion variety.
[excerpt from] The Poet in Purple Glasses by Tiffany Noonan
The poet in purple glasses
Used to be a computer programmer,
But she grew weary of long nights
Staring at screens,
Pounding out functions,
Fending off carpal tunnel syndrome.
Now she carries around a notebook and fountain pen
And wears purple glasses to reduce glare
The poet in purple glasses is in love with
An engineer who used to be a philosopher.
At night, she tries to write him sonnets,
But manages only physics equations.
Life is that value
Between 0 and 1 in binary….
