Moscow Metro-Komsomloskaya station.

One of the best Metro in the world with opulent design, mosaics, murals, stained

glass & sculptures-it is something to be marveled.

Opened in 1935, Moscow Metro with its 12 lines & a length of 308 Km, is third busiest underground system in the world, carrying 7 million passengers on weekdays.

I saw time gap between two trains at less than 60 seconds!

The Moscow Metro was one of the USSR’s most extravagant architectural projects. Stalin ordered the metro’s artists and architects to design a structure that embodied svet (radiance or brilliance) and svetloe budushchee (a radiant future) With their reflective marble walls, high ceilings and grandiose chandeliers, many Moscow Metro stations have been likened to an “artificial underground sun”.
