Just by looking at her dress, you can see how morals have decayed since then

    A totally illogical assumption!

@SJH Foto Are you saying that showing more leg indicates having fewer (or looser) morals?

utter nonsense. Dresses and skirts were shorter than this 10 years before this was taken and dresses this length are still worn now as they have been for the last 80years.

Hat, high heeled shoes, gloves . . . and two objects on her lap. A purse, maybe? What else?

Every time I look at this photo I wonder what exactly she's sitting on. The bumper (fender) looks as if it has a hard edge, and surely not comfortable to be sitting on for more than a few seconds, yet she seems quite relaxed. Is there also some of kind 'shelf' between the bumper and the car body proper, e.g. for luggage, that she could also be sitting on?

Most cars of that period had a luggage rack. An enclosed trunk (boot) became a part of the body in the early 30's. The rack could be rotated from vertical to horizontal, making it a reasonably comfortable seat.

It does not look like a 1936 Ford. A few years earlier car. Not sure of the make.

It is a typical photo of the age and before, that in that people in the whole did not smile, and seemed some what wary of the camera and having their photo taken.
